Story & heritage

The Plume moccasin is Bally's interpretation of the boat shoe. It is less about nautical nostalgia than about making a soft, flexible shoe look precise enough for the brand's leather-goods universe.

Bally calls it a masterpiece of comfort, flexibility, and lightness, which explains why it belongs beside the more obvious icons: it makes technique visible through ease rather than polish.

Materials & craft

The defining construction is Bally's Goodyear Reverse: the lining is sewn around the welt inside-out, like a glove, before being stitched to the upper. The current product is black leather with moccasin lacing, metal eyelets, and a low sole.

How to choose & style

Plume is strongest when it replaces a loafer in a softer outfit: pleated trousers, a midi skirt, or summer tailoring. The lace and apron add enough detail that black leather still feels relaxed.
