Story & heritage
Billy Reid's official copy says the Pensacola Polo was first shown in the Spring 2002 runway show and became a fan-favorite mainstay. The shirt's restraint is intentional: a familiar polo refined through handfeel, garment dye, and a collar that keeps its shape.
Materials & craft
The polo is cut from butter-soft organic cotton and garment-dyed for a lived-in look and feel. The fit is classic, with straight sleeves without banding and a structured collar and placket that separate it from an ordinary weekend polo.
How to choose & style
Navy is the easiest version: pair it with faded denim, pleated trousers, or a linen suit when a shirt would feel too formal. Because the sleeve is not banded, it reads more refined than athletic.
