The Fifty Fathoms is Blancpain’s defining sports watch, rooted in the dive watch presented in 1953 and in the brand’s long connection to the underwater world. The collection is described by Blancpain as the expression of that passion, and the line remains the house’s most recognisable tool-watch silhouette.
The Automatique keeps the essential language intact: a high-legibility dial, rotating dive bezel, date, sweeping seconds and a serious case presence designed for land-to-sea use.
Materials & craft
The referenced Automatique uses a 45 mm steel case, black dial, sail-canvas strap and Blancpain automatic caliber 1315. Blancpain lists a 5-day power reserve and a characteristic sapphire-topped unidirectional bezel for legibility.
