Story & heritage
Macri is Buccellati’s clearest statement of hand-engraved gold: the official Icona page describes the line as the point where the rigato effect reaches a peak of virtuosity, with wavy surfaces, brilliant-cut diamonds in tiny star-shaped rosettes, and small gold beads set against matte texture.
The line sits naturally in a house founded in Milan in 1919, where the family vocabulary has long drawn on Renaissance architecture, nature, and engraved precious-metal surfaces that can look almost like fabric.
Materials & craft
Macri pieces are built around gold worked by hand engraving rather than machine finish. Buccellati describes the rigato effect as handmade engraving, and the wider Maison source names rigato, telato, segrinato, ornato, and modellato as original workmanships that define the Buccellati style.
How to choose & style
Choose Macri when you want texture rather than a large motif. A slim eternelle reads like a luminous band; a cuff turns the same ribbed surface into the main event against black tailoring or a bare wrist.
