Story & heritage
Dakine describes the Mission Backpack as “ever-popular” and “snow-mission ready,” with dedicated storage for avalanche tools and vertical board carry. That makes it a bridge between Dakine’s mountain equipment and its daily backpack business.
The current 25L page also calls out laptop-sleeve utility, so the Mission remains a recognizable Dakine hybrid: ready for the hill, useful once the board is put away.
Materials & craft
The official 25L specification lists a 100% recycled nylon body and lining, vertical snowboard carry, snow-tool pocket, fleece-lined sunglass/goggle pocket, stowable webbing belt, hydration/laptop sleeve and a rescue whistle on the sternum strap.
How to choose & style
The Mission works best when the user wants one Dakine pack for resort days, school and short travel. Black is the cleanest crossover; camo and seasonal prints make the snow heritage more visible.
