Story & heritage
Chiocciolina appears in contemporary coverage of de Grisogono's Melody of Colours work, where the house pushed coloured stones into exuberant, almost creature-like forms. The name points to a small spiral, and the jewel's curled architecture makes that reference literal.
Its place in the icon set is as the colourful counterweight to Boule: where Boule is monochrome and nocturnal, Chiocciolina is botanical, green and tactile.
Materials & craft
The referenced ring is catalogued in 18k white gold with emerald, tsavorite, peridot and diamond setting. The spiral frame lifts the briolette stones above the finger, while pavé stones tighten the outline so the colour reads dense rather than scattered.
How to choose & style
Let Chiocciolina be the only saturated green in the look. It is especially strong with black, ivory or deep emerald clothing; avoid busy prints that fight the spiral.
