New Retro was recognised by the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève as a de Grisogono collection, with the N08 listed for 2018. The design looks backward to rectangular dress watches, then exaggerates the case width and dial character until it feels unmistakably contemporary.

It sits in the icon list because it is the clearest watch expression of the house's dual nature: Geneva watchmaking formality on one side, theatrical de Grisogono styling on the other.
