Story & heritage
Created for the 1958 Brussels World Fair and designed by Paule Goethals, Le Brillant is the Delvaux silhouette most closely tied to the house logo: its buckle draws the letter D into the architecture of the bag.
The Brillant remains the line through which Delvaux tells its modern heritage story — formal, polished and unmistakably Belgian, but continually reissued in new sizes, leathers and seasonal treatments.
Materials & craft
The Brillant PM shown here is crafted in smooth Box Calf with natural calfskin lining, a back pocket, an interior zipped pocket with vanity mirror, a removable adjustable shoulder strap and gold-tone hardware. Delvaux states that the Box Calf is sourced from France and selected for workshops in Belgium and France.
How to choose & style
Choose black or ivory when the goal is a forever top-handle; choose a seasonal colour when you want the strict geometry to become the outfit. The PM size reads polished by day and formal enough by evening.
