DTZ Gallivanter Watch
A dual-time Fabergé watch that hides its second time zone at the centre of the dial.
Story & heritage
The Visionnaire DTZ is Fabergé’s modern horological answer to the house’s old love of surprise. Instead of hiding a jewel inside an egg, it hides the second time zone in a central optical aperture.
Fabergé says the self-winding movement was designed exclusively for the house by Agenhor Manufacture, with local time shown by peripheral open-worked hands and the remote hour viewed through the centre.
Materials & craft
The DTZ Gallivanter is listed with calibre 6924, a 43mm 18k yellow-gold and titanium case, a brown leather strap, a sapphire ring with applied numerals, a dial-side rotor, and a 50-hour power reserve.
How to choose & style
It is a large watch with a warm dial, so let it be the only statement on the wrist. It suits suede, cashmere, soft tailoring, and anything that picks up the brown strap rather than fighting it.
