Story & heritage
The Compliquée collection is one of Fabergé’s clearest bridges between historic surprise and contemporary watchmaking. Fabergé says the display was inspired by the Peacock Egg of 1908 and won the 2015 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the High-Mechanical category.
Rather than conventional hands, the dial uses a spectacular fan display, turning timekeeping into a miniature automaton-like performance.
Materials & craft
Fabergé lists the Peacock Diamond Watch with a hand-wound 6901 calibre, 38mm platinum case, diamond bezel, mother-of-pearl indicators, diamond, Paraiba tourmaline and tsavorite dial setting, and a hand-engraved 18k white-gold peacock.
How to choose & style
This is evening jewellery first and a watch second. Wear it with white, silver, pale blue, or black, and keep bracelets away from the same wrist so the moving peacock display remains the focus.
