Story & heritage
Frédérique Constant’s official news and product pages state that when the Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture first came out in 2016, it was recognised as the most affordable perpetual calendar on the watch market. The current FC-776 generation updates that reputation with the maison’s 34th in-house calibre.
The salmon-dial steel version keeps the classic four-register perpetual-calendar layout while moving the family into a 40mm case with longer autonomy. It remains one of the clearest examples of the brand’s value proposition: serious complication without the usual price barrier.
Materials & craft
The official US page describes the FC-776 Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture calibre, a 72-hour power reserve, a 40mm steel case and a salmon dial in a collector-favoured colour. The perpetual display organises calendar information into balanced sub-registers.
How to choose & style
The salmon dial is warmer than silver but still formal. Pair it with navy, grey, tobacco suede or cream knitwear; avoid loud patterns competing with the calendar architecture.
