Story & heritage
Wikipedia identifies the GW-9400 Rangeman, released in 2013, as the first G-SHOCK to incorporate triple sensors for pressure, temperature and direction.
Casio’s US page positions the GW9400-1 as a black Triple Sensor Rangeman in the Master of G land family.
Materials & craft
The watch combines Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6 radio timekeeping, Triple Sensor readings, shock resistance, mud-resistant button structure and 200-meter water resistance.
Everything about it is biased toward outdoor operation: large buttons, clear digital readouts and sensor access over dress-watch slimness.
How to choose & style
Wear the Rangeman with hiking shells, field pants, backpacks and winter layers. It is too purposeful to hide; let the case read as equipment.
