Story & heritage
Georg Jensen calls Cobra one of its most iconic and popular collections. Constantin Wortmann's design language is built around movement: the candleholder's curves draw on the sensuous line of a snake, turning a tabletop object into a small sculpture.
The collection began with candleholders and expanded into bowls, trays, pitchers and floor pieces, but the candleholder remains the purest Cobra gesture.
Materials & craft
The official large two-pack is made from mirror-polished stainless steel. The reflective surface is part of the effect: candlelight moves across the sinuous profile so grouped pieces seem to bend and merge.
How to choose & style
Cobra works best in groups where the curves can echo each other. Keep the surrounding table setting simple — linen, glass, polished steel — and let the candleholders provide the theatrical line.
