Story & heritage
The official DEVAUX copy calls it a collectors' favourite first released in Summer 2019, inspired by the streamlined designs and refined industrialism of American Modernism. That gives the model a different energy from JMM's music-and-movie references: cooler, more urbane, and more design-object than costume.
Because JMM still places DEVAUX inside The Icons, it reads less like a niche archival holdover and more like one of the frames that permanently broadened the brand's vocabulary beyond straight retro revival.
Materials & craft
JMM lists a 10mm cured cellulose acetate frame, custom double-laminated temples, dark-gold arrowhead pins, exposed wirecores, a tension-secured custom 7-barrel hinge with spur-shaped rivets, and CR39 lenses with backside anti-reflective treatment.
