Story & heritage
The Field name connects Y-3’s fashion language to football training references, a natural fit for a collaboration that has always moved between runway and sport. Current official US listings keep Field Trainers in the Y-3 shoe range.
Its importance is the opposite of maximal cushioning: it is low, direct and graphic, closer to a terrace shoe than a futuristic runner.
Materials & craft
Official product imagery presents a flat outsole, low upper, lace closure and Y-3 mark placement. Recent Field versions appear in black, silver and white treatments across the Y-3 assortment.
The shape relies on panel proportion and contrast rather than bulk, which keeps the trainer wearable with both tailoring and sportswear.
How to choose & style
Pair it with wide cargos, nylon trousers or cropped black denim. It works best when you want Y-3 attitude without the height of Qasa or the polish of Stan Smith.
