Adidas' Campus page describes the Campus as initially a 1970s basketball shoe that became a lifestyle icon for hip-hop and skateboarding communities. The Campus 00s turns that line toward Y2K scale: wider, puffier and more skate-coded.

The official HQ8708 page connects the off-white midsole back to Campus heritage while using bolder proportions for the current silhouette.
