Story & heritage
Adidas' Samba page describes the Samba as a soccer shoe first introduced in 1950, designed for training, futsal and street soccer. Adidas' history blog also places the Samba in the brand's first decade, moving between indoor soccer agility and street style.
The OG version keeps that hybrid identity visible: a slim leather body, suede toe overlay and gum sole that look equally at home on terraces and sidewalks.
Materials & craft
The official Samba OG page lists a soft leather upper, suede overlays and a gum rubber outsole. The low profile and T-toe keep the shoe close to its indoor-football roots.
How to choose & style
The white-black-gum Samba is the safest classic; black reverses the mood. Because the shape is narrow and low, it works best with straight denim, loose trousers or track pants that do not swallow the shoe.
