Story & heritage
BEAMS PLUS was launched in 1999 as BEAMS's menswear label for modern basic utility wear, rooted in American traditional, work, sports and military clothing from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s.
The official BEAMS page marks BD Oxford as a BEAMS 100 Famous Product and describes it as a classic Oxford-cloth button-down based on traditional American shirts from the 1960s.
Materials & craft
The official product text calls out the left chest pocket with V-stitch, collar shape for on/off-duty wear, narrow 3mm side seams, 18 stitches per 3cm, Japanese skilled manufacture and the small BEAMS PLUS “+” snap detail at both side hems.
How to choose & style
Wear it as the base layer of the BEAMS PLUS uniform: under the 3B blazer, tucked into pleated chinos, or open over a tee when the outfit needs shape without formality.
