BEAMS PLUS was launched in 1999 as BEAMS's menswear label for modern basic utility wear, rooted in American traditional, work, sports and military clothing from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s.
BEAMS calls the 3-button blazer an essential American traditional item, and the BEAMS PLUS 2026 philosophy archive lists “Blazer” as the first of its essential masterpieces.
Materials & craft
The official page describes a low gorge line, half lining and slightly forward sleeves reminiscent of American sport coats. Details include three patch pockets, a center hook vent, semi-narrow lapels and three buttons on the back. The Combat Wool fabric blends wool, polyester and Cordura nylon for abrasion resistance.
