Goney Corduroy Overshirt

The corduroy overshirt that turns Bellerose shirting into light outerwear.

Story & heritage

Goney appears in Bellerose's official men-iconics collection, making it one of the brand's own named staples. It bridges the house's shirting origin and its workwear-adjacent outerwear: shirt collar, pocket, metal buttons, but enough corduroy weight to wear as a jacket.

Bellerose Belgium SA/NV is headquartered in Groot-Bijgaarden, near Brussels. The company was started by Jean-Pierre Delhaye, Charly Bouvy, and Patrick Van Heurck in 1989 with a line of men's shirts; the name refers to Bellerose, New York. Its first women's collection followed in 1998 and its children's line in 2002.

Materials & craft

The official navy Goney is a regular overshirt in navy blue corduroy with a classic collar, long sleeves with buttoned cuffs, metal button front closure and a patched front pocket.

How to choose & style

Treat Goney as a third piece over Fresh or a white tee. Corduroy likes contrast: smooth denim below, crisp cotton underneath, and enough room to button it when the temperature drops.
