Story & heritage
Crochet belongs naturally inside Bode's broader archive of historical techniques. The official Marsh and Sherbet long-sleeve shirts are both described as crocheted from dry cotton yarn and made entirely by hand.
They sit between shirt and knit: familiar enough to wear as summer shirting, but textured enough to carry the craft-first identity that made Bode a menswear reference point.
Materials & craft
The Marsh shirt is green and white cotton with silvery beaded Bode lettering on the back. The Sherbet version uses the same hand-crocheted cotton construction in cream and orange.
Because the surface is openwork, fit and layering matter: the handmade grid is the garment, not a hidden detail.
How to choose & style
Treat a crochet Bode shirt like a textured overshirt: over a white tank, with linen trousers, or tucked loosely into side-buckle pants.
The quieter green-and-cream palette is easier under a jacket; the Sherbet colorway works best when the rest of the outfit stays sun-faded and simple.
