Story & heritage
Breitling describes the Superocean Heritage as the sea-watch line made to move between water and waterfront. It draws on the original 1950s SuperOcean language but smooths it into a more elegant, retro-modern diver.
The current B31 Automatic generation keeps the slim indices, broad arrow hour hand and polished presence that separate Heritage from the more instrument-like Superocean.
Materials & craft
This Superocean Heritage B31 Automatic 42 uses a 42 mm stainless-steel case, rubber strap, sapphire crystal and 20-bar water resistance. The movement is Breitling B31, a manufacture automatic caliber specified with an approximately 78-hour power reserve.
How to choose & style
Pick Superocean Heritage when a pure dive watch feels too sporty. The black dial is the most versatile; blue and green lean more holiday. It sits naturally with camp-collar shirts, suede jackets and relaxed tailoring, especially on the mesh-style strap.
