The Top Time belongs to Breitling’s 1960s side: experimental, colourful and tied to cars, motorcycles and youthful chronograph culture. Breitling’s current copy explicitly frames the line through that decade of experimentation, fun, freedom and energy.
Today’s Top Time B01 models revive the mood with automotive editions — including Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Shelby Cobra and Triumph — while upgrading the movement to Breitling’s manufacture chronograph caliber.
Materials & craft
This Top Time B01 uses a 41 mm stainless-steel case, calfskin leather strap, sapphire crystal and Breitling 01 manufacture self-winding chronograph caliber with an approximately 70-hour power reserve. The model is rated to 10 bars.
How to choose & style
Top Time is the fun Breitling: smaller, louder and less formal. The Corvette red dial wants denim, leather jackets and sneakers; Triumph blue and Mustang green are easier if you want colour without shouting. It is a strong weekend chronograph and a useful antidote to monochrome watch boxes.
