Story & heritage
Brooks Brothers names the No. 1 Sack Suit among the Heritage Shop pieces that became popular through the brand over more than 200 years. The current cotton twill version is tied to the flagship 1818 Suit Collection and to the house’s signature No. 1 Sack silhouette.
Although Brooks’ Golden Fleece trademark is the brand’s historic symbol, the live official suit expression is the No. 1 Sack: an Ivy classic built around a soft, restrained silhouette rather than dramatic tailoring.
Materials & craft
The suit is made in Italy from 96% cotton and 4% elastane. Brooks Brothers describes Italian-woven fabrics, hand-tailored arm openings, fully stitched craftsmanship, framed interior pockets, half-canvas construction, a 3-button front, 2-button cuffs and a 3/2 lapel roll.
How to choose & style
Treat it as the relaxed Brooks suit: oxford shirt, rep tie and penny loafers for the full heritage language, or a knit polo when the cotton twill should feel easier.
