Story & heritage
Brooks Brothers describes the No. 1 Sack Sport Coat as perfected by the house in the 1910s as an extension of the No. 1 Sack Suit. The seersucker version carries that shape into summer cloth while preserving the signature relaxed tailored details.
The result is one of the brand’s most recognizable warm-weather formulas: pale striped cotton, natural shoulder and just enough structure to work with chinos or odd trousers.
Materials & craft
Official details include a 3-button closure, 3/2 roll lapel, natural soft shoulder, undarted front, center hook vent, genuine mother-of-pearl buttons, two sleeve buttons, full lining and finished sleeves. The cloth is 98% cotton and 2% spandex.
How to choose & style
Keep the rest crisp: white OCBD, navy knit tie if needed, khaki or navy trousers and loafers. Seersucker already carries texture, so avoid competing checks.
