Story & heritage
Camper's Wabi icon page says the design was first launched over twenty years ago as a circular-product concept that reduced materials and production processes to a minimum.
The official history page dates Wabi to 2000, describes it as inspired by Japanese minimalism, and says it became the foundation for Peu.
Materials & craft
The men's Wabi product page lists textile uppers, EVA footbeds, and rubber outsoles with 20% recycled rubber. Camper also describes the slipper version as handmade with warm, breathable wool from New Zealand and the UK.
Its construction is deliberately stripped back: slip-on form, soft cushioning, and a material story centered on natural, recycled, and recyclable components.
How to choose & style
Wabi belongs with soft dressing: socks, knit trousers, relaxed denim, or house-to-street weekend layers.
Choose wool slippers for warmth and the sandal shape when you want the same minimal language in summer.
