Story & heritage
Chloé Love Story was conceived as a romantic floral in the house's fragrance line, inspired by Paris and its lovers' tradition — the padlocks once fastened to the city's Pont des Arts. It joined the family of Chloé scents produced under the brand's perfume licence held by Coty.
The fragrance pairs a luminous orange-blossom heart with a tender, optimistic character, and its flacon carries the love-lock idea directly into the design through its arched, padlock-shaped cap.
Materials & craft
Love Story is built on orange blossom and stephanotis jasmine — the "flower of happiness" — over a base of cedarwood, with neroli lifting the top. The bottle is a pleated, faceted glass flacon engraved Love Story, topped by an arched gold-tone cap shaped like a padlock in a nod to the Pont des Arts love locks, and finished with a ribbon.
How to choose & style
Love Story is the most overtly romantic of the house's florals — its orange-blossom heart is luminous and tender, suited to spring and evening. The Eau de Parfum is the signature; lighter Eau de Toilette and Eau Sensuelle versions shift it gentler or warmer. The padlock-capped bottle makes it the most narrative of Chloé's flacons.
