Story & heritage
Chloé Nomade launched in 2018 as a new pillar of the house's fragrance collection, sitting alongside the signature Chloé scent. Conceived around an independent, free-spirited woman, it gave the brand a deeper, woodier-floral signature with a freesia opening.
Like all Chloé fragrances it is produced under the house's perfume licence held by Coty. The Nomade flacon takes its rounded, saddle-like curve and gold plaque from the hardware language of Chloé's bags — a piece of the leather-goods identity carried onto the dressing table.
Materials & craft
Nomade is a chypre floral built on a freesia top note over a floral heart and a mineral, woody base of oakmoss, giving it more depth and earthiness than the signature rose. The bottle is a rounded, saddle-shaped glass flacon — its curve echoing a bag's silhouette — with a gold-tone Nomade plaque and a slim leather cord knotted at the neck.
How to choose & style
Nomade is the deeper, more grounded Chloé — its mossy, woody base makes it carry through cooler weather and evening, while the freesia keeps it bright on top. The Eau de Parfum is the fuller pillar; lighter and absolu flankers shift the character. The saddle-curved bottle is the most architecturally distinctive of the house's fragrances.
