Story & heritage
The Spirit of Big Bang keeps the Big Bang’s exposed-screw attitude and material fusion, but recasts it in a curved tonneau format. On Hublot’s US catalog it sits as its own major Big Bang branch rather than a one-off complication, which is why it has become the house’s second recognizable silhouette after the round case.
The collection now ranges from straightforward titanium and ceramic pieces to sapphire, tourbillon and Meca-10 references, showing how Hublot treats the shape as a full platform rather than a styling exercise.
Materials & craft
The core 42 mm references combine titanium and ceramic cases with rubber straps, while more technical variants move into sapphire or skeletonized Meca-10 executions. Even in the simpler pieces, the family keeps the layered case construction and open, architectural dial treatment associated with Hublot sports watches.
Hublot’s own listings show the line expanding across plain titanium, titanium-ceramic, blue-ceramic and Meca-10 versions, letting material and movement complexity do the talking.
How to choose & style
Spirit works best when you want the assertiveness of a Big Bang but with slightly sharper tailoring. Titanium reads daily; ceramic and colored variants lean more fashion-forward, while the Meca-10 references suit collectors who want the mechanics to stay visible on the wrist.
