Based in Catalonia, the brand turned a corner in 1965 when Salvador Tous, the founder's son, married Rosa Oriol — the pair pooling their talents to design a new style of jewellery. The four Tous daughters — Rosa, Alba, Laura and Marta — later joined the family business. Jewellery remains the core, alongside bags, watches, perfumes and small leather goods, with international expansion beginning in the 1990s through Japan, then Mexico and the United States.
Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez have fronted its campaigns, and in 2011 Tous released a Manolo Blahnik collaboration reproducing his Campari shoe in gold and silver pendants.
