Story & heritage
High Street is the most literal bridge between B.P. de Silva’s Singapore heritage and its present collections. The official heritage page traces the first atelier to Singapore’s High Street; Vogue Singapore describes the jewellery as an ode to the streets and shophouse architecture of old Singapore.
The collection is also singled out by the brand’s own team as a signature for good reason: it carries Peranakan touches, old-mine-cut diamonds and the memory of the house’s first address in a design that still feels wearable.
Materials & craft
Vogue Singapore notes the intricate filigree silhouette and the use of old mine cut diamonds at the centre of the pendant. The stone’s 58 facets are described as hand-cut and hand-polished for a candlelight glow, while official product pages extend the motif into earrings, bracelets, studs and rings.
How to choose & style
The necklace should be the focal jewel: it has enough historical and decorative detail to sit alone. Pair it with plain necklines, linen or silk. The earrings and lattice bracelet are stronger for evening because the shophouse outline becomes visible from farther away.
