Headquartered in Singapore — the flagship now on Dempsey Road — the house built a reputation as a premier jeweller, commissioning pieces for politicians, royal families and celebrities. It received an early royal commission from the Duke of Connaught and later from the Royal Family of Siam in 1928, and in 1951 created two crowns and a scabbard for Brunei's coronation. More recently its jewellery has adorned Grammy-winning artist Laufey.
Still family-led across five generations — Sunil Amarasuriya as chairman, Shanya Amarasuriya as creative director — the jeweller specialises in sapphires and offers bespoke and high jewellery. It launched its first high jewellery collection for its 150th anniversary in 2022 and earned B Corp certification the same year; its history is celebrated in the National Museum of Singapore.
