B.P. de Silva frames Old World Charm™ around the house’s long affection for letters, keepsakes and objects that carry sentiment. The convertible necklace became one of the brand’s clearest 150th-anniversary-era signatures because it makes an old ritual wearable: the pendant can be worn as a diamond jewel, then turned over to reveal a gold seal for initials.
The design sits naturally inside a house founded in 1872, whose official story traces its first atelier to Singapore’s High Street and its early life to personal commissions. Rather than treating heritage as decoration, Old World Charm turns the act of safekeeping a story into the function of the jewel itself.
Materials & craft
The official product page presents the necklace as a convertible design with diamond pavé on one face and a polished seal surface on the other, paired with a wax melting kit. Its value is in the mechanism and the personalised back: the pendant has to read as fine jewellery from the front while remaining practical enough to press into wax as a signature.
How to choose & style
