Story & heritage
Belstaff dates the Gangster Icon Jacket to 1969 and links it to archival motorcycle styles from the Golden Age of Motorcycles. It is designed for everyday wear but keeps riding movement in the pattern through accordion side panels hidden under the arms.
The jacket's character comes from contrast: formal black leather and hardware, softened by bellows chest pockets and adjustable buckled edges.
Materials & craft
The official product page lists hand-waxed leather designed to darken with age, shoulder and elbow panels, corrugated side panels, snap placket, buckle-adjusted collar and hem, two snap flap pockets, two zipped lower pockets and a 100% cow-leather shell.
How to choose & style
Gangster has more attitude than the Outlaw, so it rewards restraint. Let the bellows pockets and buckled hem sit against simple trousers, boots and a plain base layer.
