Story & heritage
Belstaff's icon guide dates the Trialmaster Panther to 1966 and describes it as an elevated take on the brand's most definitive jacket. The official US product keeps the four-pocket Trialmaster architecture while moving the idea into hand-waxed leather.
It is less about changing the Trialmaster than intensifying it: same map-pocket logic, same belted field shape, more depth and texture from the leather.
Materials & craft
The men's US page lists hand-waxed leather with an artisanal finish, four bellows pockets, one internal pocket, snap placket with zip closure, check cotton lining, adjustable throat latch, reinforced shoulder and elbow panels and underarm ventilation. The exterior is 100% calf leather.
How to choose & style
Let the Panther do the work. Keep the rest simple: black denim, a plain knit or a white T-shirt. The belted leather silhouette already carries enough hardware and texture.
