Born near Liverpool and raised on the Isle of Man, Williams studied Fine Art at the University of Brighton before completing an MA in Menswear at the London College of Fashion. She founded her eponymous sustainable label in 2017, building collections from recycled and sourced material, including from San Patrignano.
Each collection doubles as a collaboration with a cause — from the Liverpool women's shelter behind Adelaide House, which won her the Queen Elizabeth II Award, to the Magpie Project across several seasons. She won the 2021 BFC Vogue Designer Fashion Fund and the 2024 Fabric of Life Award for Designer of the Year, and was a 2019 LVMH Prize finalist.
