Pompon Necklace
A diamond-fringed tassel that turns Boucheron's couture memory into Art Deco movement.
Story & heritage
Boucheron frames its Couture collection through Frédéric Boucheron's childhood as the son of a cloth merchant and his taste for volume and flowing materials. The house positions this line at the crossing of High Jewelry and Haute Couture.
The Pompon necklace takes that textile memory literally: the tassel shape recalls trimming iconography, but it is translated into precise white gold, onyx, lacquer and diamonds.
Materials & craft
The official onyx Pompon necklace is made in 18-carat white gold with black lacquer, 64 onyx totaling 20.80 carats and 571 round diamonds totaling 16.90 carats. Boucheron describes the design as combining Art Deco precision, two-colour contrast and the free movement of a diamond-fringed tassel.
How to choose & style
Pompon is evening-ready but not delicate. Its black-and-white rhythm works best over bare skin, a tuxedo jacket or a clean column dress where the tassel can move freely.
