Story & heritage
Magic Alhambra was created in 2006. Instead of repeating one equal-size clover, the line plays with different motif sizes and asymmetric arrangements, turning the familiar Alhambra sign into something more animated.
The one-motif long necklace is the most direct version of that idea. Van Cleef & Arpels notes that it can be worn long on a single chain or short with the chain doubled.
Materials & craft
The official one-motif necklace is 18K yellow gold with mother-of-pearl. Its larger clover gives the golden bead contour more presence, while the transformable chain changes the pendant's position without changing the jewel itself.
How to choose & style
Wear it long over black knitwear or silk for the most graphic effect. Doubled, it becomes a short necklace with more polish; long, it has the relaxed drama of a talisman on a chain.
