Jules Audemars
The classic round Audemars Piguet line that honours co-founder Jules Louis Audemars and the manufacture's complication heritage.
Story & heritage
Named for co-founder Jules Louis Audemars, the Jules Audemars collection represents the classical side of Audemars Piguet: round cases, slim profiles, precious metals and complications connected to the manufacture's Vallée de Joux tradition.
The line is especially tied to AP's high-complication identity. Audemars Piguet notes that its first Grande Complication wristwatch of 1996 used a Jules Audemars case only 8.5 mm thick, followed by the Royal Oak Grande Complication in 1997.
Materials & craft
Jules Audemars watches generally emphasise polished precious-metal cases, leather straps, legible round dials and restrained finishing rather than the integrated-bracelet architecture of the Royal Oak. The dual-time example shown pairs a rose-gold case with a black dial, sub-dials and a black alligator strap.
How to choose & style
Jules Audemars is the formal AP: it belongs with tailoring, eveningwear and low-key dress codes. Choose it when the octagonal Royal Oak would feel too assertive but the brand's complication history still matters.
