Broadsword Recon Bronze
A bronze military field watch rooted in Bremont’s Ministry of Defence partnership.
Story & heritage
The Broadsword Recon Bronze builds on Bremont’s partnership with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence. Bremont describes it as a contemporary take on the three-handed “Dirty Dozen” field-watch designs commissioned for the British Army during World War Two.
The bronze Recon edition is limited to 100 pieces and evolves the original Broadsword Recon limited edition issued in 2023.
Materials & craft
The official page specifies a CuSn8 bronze two-piece case, a sandwich dial and vintage Super-LumiNova for visibility. Bremont notes that bronze is a “living” metal that develops its own patina over time.
How to choose & style
Let the bronze age naturally. It pairs well with suede, waxed cotton and military knits; polished tailoring fights the character, while worn-in textures make the patina feel intentional.
