Story & heritage
The Woody tote took its name and its signature from the Chloé logo ribbon — a woven jacquard band printed with the house name, run down the sides of an uncomplicated open tote. Offered in linen canvas, smooth leather, raffia and crochet, it became one of the most recognisable everyday Chloé bags of the late 2010s and 2020s.
Light, roomy and instantly readable from the ribbon alone, the Woody became a street-style fixture and one of the house's most-carried silhouettes — the democratic, daily counterpart to its statement leather bags.
Materials & craft
The Woody is built around its logo-ribbon straps — a woven cotton band carrying the Chloé name — set against a body of linen canvas, smooth leather, hand-woven raffia or crochet. The construction is deliberately simple: an open top, a flat base, and a leather medallion embossed with the house signature inside. The natural materials and minimal hardware keep it casual.
How to choose & style
The Woody is the easy, weekend Chloé — the natural raffia and canvas read summery, the logo ribbon doing the branding without hardware. The large is a true carry-all; the small and bucket sizes read more as accessories. It pairs naturally with relaxed, holiday dressing and looks better lightly filled, the ribbon left to do the work.
