Dior Toujours Bag
A Macrocannage everyday tote that reinvents the house's quilting at scale.
Story & heritage
The Dior Toujours was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and first shown at the Dior Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear show. Conceived as both timeless and ultra-contemporary, it answered a simple brief: a practical, roomy, wear-everywhere tote that still carried the full weight of the house's craft codes.
Its signature is Macrocannage — a reinterpretation of Dior's Cannage motif scaled up into oversized, sculptural quilting. The bag quickly found an audience for its casual ease, and has since become one of the house's go-to everyday shapes.
Materials & craft
The Toujours is crafted in calfskin worked in Macrocannage topstitching — the diamond quilt enlarged so the relief reads across the whole body. The vertical tote has a spacious open interior, a matching zipped pouch, top handles and an optional shoulder strap, and is finished with hanging DIOR letter charms and a 'Christian Dior Paris' embossed signature inside.
How to choose & style
The medium is the daily Toujours; the small and nano dress it down to an accessory. Neutrals — beige, grey, latte — let the Macrocannage relief carry the look; the plum and seasonal tones make it a statement. It's a soft, roomy tote that suits weekday tailoring and weekend ease equally, and the included pouch keeps small things from disappearing.
