Story & heritage
The Sixties is one of the two design pillars of the Vintage collection. Glashütte Original says the Vintage collection is inspired by the 1960s and 1970s, and the official Sixties page describes the model as capturing the joie de vivre of the 1960s.
Its domed dial, stylised Arabic numerals and compact case make it a softer counterpoint to the angular Seventies models.
Materials & craft
The official page for reference 1-39-52-06-02-04 documents a 39 mm polished stainless-steel case, domed galvanic blue German-silver dial, white-gold hands with Super-LumiNova and automatic Calibre 39-52 with a 40-hour power reserve.
The sapphire case back shows traditional Glashütte features including three-quarter plate, swan-neck fine adjustment, polished and bevelled steel components and a skeletonised rotor.
How to choose & style
The Sixties is easy to wear because it is slim, round and colourful without being loud. Blue adds depth; black is quieter. It pairs with relaxed tailoring, suede, denim and anything that benefits from a little vintage softness.
