707GP Lux Boat Tote M
The dressed-up Chapelier tote: familiar cabas geometry in pebbled coated canvas.
Story & heritage
Founded in Paris in 1976 after Hervé Chapelier's Los Angeles bag-making beginnings, the house built its reputation on light, color-driven utility rather than heavy status hardware. Its canon is a vocabulary of cabas, boat totes, shoulder bags and travel bags that repeat the same practical geometry in different fabrics and sizes.
The GP line uses Hervé Chapelier's pebbled-grain coated canvas, a higher-polish material introduced in the 2000s that keeps the house's simple boat-tote geometry but gives it a more dressed, structured hand. The 707GP is the medium expression of that line and the most balanced size for a daily luxury tote.
Materials & craft
Official product data lists the 707GP as pebbled-grain coated canvas with cotton-look handles and webbing, a snap button, no zip closure and an inside pocket. The European store lists the medium at 21 x 40 x 19 cm with 8 litres of capacity.
How to choose & style
Pick 707GP when the nylon totes feel too casual. The medium is compact enough for city carry but structured enough beside tailoring, especially in tonal black, mastic or muted pink-and-silver pairings.
