725GP Lux Boat Tote L
A larger GP canvas tote that keeps the line elegant even when fully loaded.
Story & heritage
Founded in Paris in 1976 after Hervé Chapelier's Los Angeles bag-making beginnings, the house built its reputation on light, color-driven utility rather than heavy status hardware. Its canon is a vocabulary of cabas, boat totes, shoulder bags and travel bags that repeat the same practical geometry in different fabrics and sizes.
The GP line uses Hervé Chapelier's pebbled-grain coated canvas, a higher-polish material introduced in the 2000s that keeps the house's simple boat-tote geometry but gives it a more dressed, structured hand. The 725GP is the large carryall in the family, keeping the house's boat-tote silhouette while adding enough scale for travel and work overflow.
Materials & craft
The official European listing gives the 725GP the same pebbled coated-canvas composition and cotton-look webbing as the 707GP, with snap-button closure and an inside pocket. The large size is listed at 29 x 49 x 24 cm and 17 litres.
How to choose & style
The L reads intentional when it is worn as a true carryall: coat, laptop pouch, scarf and cosmetic case. Tonal colors keep it minimal; contrast handles emphasize the Chapelier geometry.
