The Moon revisits a curved, 2000s-revival silhouette and translates it into a soft, pillowy half-moon shoulder bag — its name drawn from that crescent shape. It first arrived in Re-Nylon, Prada's ECONYL regenerated nylon, before being reintroduced in padded leather in early 2023, broadening it from a quietly sporty nylon piece into a plush, colour-driven leather icon.

In doing so the Moon slots neatly into the wider 2020s appetite for soft, rounded, puffy bag shapes, while keeping the unmistakable Prada signatures that mark it as house product rather than trend-chasing.

Materials & craft

The Moon's character is all in its cushioned, padded body — a curved, half-moon hobo form that slumps softly against the body. The leather edition is made in plush padded nappa leather, with a belted closure and a tonal enamel-metal triangle logo, while the Re-Nylon version brings the same shape in regenerated nylon. Both come with a removable key ring, and the leather releases expand into a wide, candy-bright colour range.

The Moon is the soft, tactile counterpoint to Prada's structured bags — choose it when you want something that hugs the body and feels modern rather than ceremonial.
