Story & heritage
Scott’s history calls out the 2007 Addict frame as the lightest available road frame at the time, listing a 790 g frame and a 5.9 kg complete bike figure. The current Addict RC keeps that identity focused on climbing, sprinting and race-day efficiency.
The Addict RC 10 page presents it as Scott’s lightest production race bike, engineered for riders attacking steep climbs or sprinting for the finish line.
Materials & craft
The Addict RC 10 uses an HMX frame and fork, internal cable routing, Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting, Syncros Capital 1.0S wheels and a Syncros carbon cockpit. Scott lists a 7 kg approximate weight and highlights a new cockpit, wider tire clearance and reduced frame-kit weight versus its predecessor.
How to choose & style
Addict RC is the restrained road choice: fewer graphics, shallow visual drama, lots of proportion. It looks strongest with compact bags removed and classic kit colors, letting the thin tubes and integrated front end do the talking.
