Story & heritage
The official Ransom 920 page introduces the newest Ransom as a bike engineered for maximum downhill performance and confidence. It sits in Scott’s gravity category, where geometry, linkage and suspension behaviour matter more than pure gram counting.
Ransom also extends Scott’s long-running full-suspension vocabulary: adjustable geometry, integrated suspension packaging and handlebar controls are used here to make a 170 mm platform pedalable enough to earn its descents.
Materials & craft
The Ransom 920 uses a carbon HMF mainframe with an alloy 6061 swingarm, a six-link kinematic, adjustable head angle, Integrated Suspension Technology and Syncros cable integration. Scott specifies a RockShox Zeb Select+ 170 mm fork, FOX FLOAT X Nude shock and SRAM four-piston stopping power.
How to choose & style
Ransom looks right with aggressive tires, full-face moments and darker kit. If a Spark says lap time, Ransom says commitment: choose the brighter colorways when the bike is part of the statement, not just the tool.
