Story & heritage

Scott’s own history places the Spark name in a pivotal 2007 moment: the brand described Spark as the lightest frame-and-shock combination available after applying IMP carbon know-how and Nude TC shock thinking. The current Spark RC Team Issue keeps that race lineage pointed at cross-country and marathon riding.

The 2026 U.S. product page positions the Spark RC Team Issue as a carbon HMF, 120 mm-travel cross-country platform shaped with input from top athletes, making it the modern heir to Scott’s lightweight full-suspension story.

Materials & craft

The current build uses a Spark RC Carbon HMF frame with Integrated Suspension Technology, a RockShox SID Select 3P fork, a Nude 5 RL3 rear shock, SRAM GX AXS Transmission, four-piston disc brakes and Syncros carbon parts. Scott lists adjustable head angle, Flex Pivot details and a protected integrated shock layout among the platform’s defining engineering ideas.

How to choose & style

Choose Spark RC when the visual priority is speed with a technical edge: the frame reads compact, low and purposeful rather than rugged. Bright color accents suit race-kit styling; darker greens and blacks work best when the bike needs to look stealthy and expensive.
