Story & heritage
The official M-59 page says the parka is inspired by the U.S. Army M-51 Fishtail Parka. Alpha turns that reference into a modern shell with a fishtail back hem, hood and liner buttons.
It is less archival than the Heritage MA-1 or M-65, but still very Alpha: a military-derived silhouette translated into a practical, relaxed coat.
Materials & craft
Official specs list a 60% cotton, 40% polyester shell and 65% polyester, 35% cotton lining. Features include full zip with snap closure, moldable wire hood, front flap pockets, utility sleeve pocket, liner buttons and knotted drawcords front and back.
How to choose & style
The M-59 is the easy parka in the group. Wear it loose over a hoodie or liner, cinch the fishtail when the outfit needs shape, and choose olive when you want the military reference to read clearly.
